The Tag!

Few days back, a fellow blogger Ritvik tagged me with some questions. I would like to answer them here. I am sorry Ritwik for not being able to answer them before. Here I go:

  1.  Would you rather go to an urban place or a deserted place for a vacation?
Answer: I would rather go to a deserted place, an escape from the Urban area I already
    am living in.
  2. One thing which you think is most unique to you?
Answer: My DNA & finger prints.

  3. Blogspot or Wordpress?
Answer: Blogspot, I have become comfortable with it now. Wordpress would mean starting it from the scratch.
  4. One thing which India needs urgently.
Answer: Loyalty & empathy of Indians to fellow Indians. (it includes loyalty and empathy of politicians to Aam-Janta as well)
  5. Do you believe that Anna Hazare's lokpal bill is the ultimate solution to corruption?
Answer: Can't Comment. But it has to start from somewhere.
  6. What is God for you? Do you believe in idols?
Answer: I believe in everything that is not harming me or any other living being. I do believe in God and my belief makes me fight the adversities, if any, and keep me Positive.
Again I have my own theory of worshiping the idols. We sometimes need to give structure to our thoughts and a place to meditate. Positive auras of people in temple make it a pleasant place. Though I worship Him in either way. (Did I over-answer it?)
  7. What kind of blogs do you like to read?
Answer: I pick blogs randomly. Fictions, poems, life previews, cartoon strips, social issues anything. They just  need to feed me with a good time, while reading them. Good ones of course win my Loyalty.
  8. One word that would describe you?
    Answer: Random!
  9. Your favorite movie. And why?
Answer: Pinjar. It finely portrays the struggle (social/physical/mental) of a girl before and at the time of partition. (Such mishappenings and struggles can be observed during any disaster).
  10. Person you admire the most?
Answer: My parents (I see them as a single entity)
  11. Will you follow me? ;-)
    Answer: LOL. I already am!!!!

These were interesting questions. No need to say, your views on the above are welcome. :)

This time I would like to tag all my visitors/fellow-bloggers here. If you can Answer these ten questions, please do:
    a.  "Forget and forgive" or "Remember and plot your revenge"?
    b. Greatest thing that has happened to you till now?
    c. Do you really laugh/smile, when you write lol/haha/rofl on chat?

    d. Do you believe in Life after death?
    e. Hollywood or Bollywood or any other -wood?
    f. Whom do you trust more with your secrets- Family/Friend/Stranger?
    g. Your views on Gay marriages- can you accept it in your family or in case of your son/daughter?
    h. One of the most interesting things about you?
    i. How important is money? "Live today" or save for the "D-day"?
    j. Mind over heart or heart over mind?

P.s. If you feel like answering these in your blog, do that. Post it's link here!

Is a Green Leaf actually Green?

Few days ago, Hemant, a fellow blogger, threw a random question at me. I dont know how relevant or irrelevant our discussion was, but he insisted that I should register that discussion on my blog and see how others feel about this. So here it is:
Hemant: What is the color of the leaf?
me: Which leaf?
  leaf of which particular tree?
New leaf or old one? (I wanted to be sure of the question thrown at me all of a sudden)
Hemant: New
  common leaf!
me: New...light-green most of the times
Maple leaf is red I guess
  :-)
Hemant: And why does it look like green?
  Thinking?
 me: Chlorophyll!
  Why?
Hemant: You are still far from the concept
me: Okkay.. There is one more answer to it!
me: It absorbs all the colors and reflects back green.
Is this the answer you wanted?
Hemant: Yes
I need the latter one!
Hemant: So does that mean that it is of all the colors but green ;-)
 me: Hahaha wow.. Probably!!!
Hemant: This is only my interpretation
me: So when we see no color in dark
Does that mean dark is colorful?
And colorful is dark?
And Rainbow is colorless?
 Hemant: You got it right
Hope I'm not boring you with my theory
me:   Naah.. U are giving my brain some excercise!
When I absorb negativity and reflect back positivity does that mean I am negative? (I had no other example to understand the subject we started discussion on!)
Hemant: That means you are too positive to absorb negativity
  Sorry!
  Let me correct my statement
 me: Sorry?
Sure!
Hemant: You are so positive that u can absorb negativity.
me: Yaa.. It means I destroy negativity when I absorb it.. So does that mean leaf destroys all other colors by absorbing them... And its green?
Hemant: And that's the reason why all the leaders are gr8 absorbers of negativity
   And that's what we see...
me: Stay on leaf thing!
What we reflect is how we are, something which we can't destroy.
Hemant: It doesn't mean that u have to destroy the negativity after absorbing it
 me: We use it
If I am negative I'll reflect it..
If I am not I'll absorb it.
Hemant: Wow
See we have come ur with a theory now
me: Hahaha.. Am i making any sense?
Hemant: Why don't u write a post
  On it
  Trust me
  U will enjoy...

P.S. : After confirming things from google I found "we see green leaves or grass as being green because leaves and grass (and other green plants) use Chlorophyll to change light into energy."

Likewise Tomatoes appear to be Red because when ripe, tomatoes contain a carotenoid known as "Lycopene".
Lycopene is a bright red carotenoid pigment, a phytochemical found not only in tomatoes but also other red fruits. Lycopene absorbs most of the visible light spectrum, and being red in colour, it reflects mainly red back to the viewer, thus a ripe tomato appears to be Red...
(Ref. http://www.colourtherapyhealing.com/colour/objects_and_colour.php)
P.P.S. : Hemant's thought was pretty convincing as when we absorb all the colors then we should be colorful. And reflecting back a certain color may imply that we are not taking that color and rather dumping it out..

Am i confusing you?

Just Another Conversation!

A few days back, I received a call. Here is the detailed story on how it went:

Caller: Hello!

Me: Yes!

Caller: I was waiting for you outside the gate of your society in my car yesterday. You made me wait for four hours and didn't even bother to pick my phone after that.
Why didn't you turn up?

Me: Its because i don't want to meet you like that anymore.. I want to tell my parents about us now. Sooner, the better!!

Caller: hahaha You have become naughty..
Me: hehe Namaste Nanaji.. How are you? (He was my Nana i.e. my mum's maternal uncle)
Nana: I am very fine.. how are you?
Me: I am too good nana. Congrats on your retirement..
Nana: ThanQ kid! So Who is the lucky Guy you have found?
Me: I was thinking my Nana will do that job after his retirement.
Nana: Naah, why would i search for you, now that i am free, i will search start a search for myself!
Me: Haww! I should share some secrets with nani now.. By the way, we got to know your real age now! haha
Nana: aah! I am tooo young, nobody knows my real age.. I have faked in on papers to get free early. hahaha.. Where is your mom?
Mom comes on phone, they both talked for a while..

Mom: Mama, now you are free, make a plan for lunch/dinner or a whole day here asap!
Nana: Yep! Will make a plan soon.
Mom: Do tell me in advance on what u like to eat.
Nana: Anything!
Out of my habit of jumping into conversation trying to be witty..
Me: Tell her, tell her, else she will make something nice, that a retired person should eat at this age.
Nana: I will see you after coming there.. you just stay there.
Me: haha please come soon we are waiting for you..
Nana: okie beta, i will make plan soon.. God bless You.
Me: bye Nana!

P.S. Sometimes small things make you smile a lot, conversations with my mum's maternal uncle are such things. I don't know why he always tries to start conversation in the same way with different styles. He would have surely tracked somebody's affair. Glad all kids in the family have their personal mobile phones these days. Lol.

THe bLaCkMaiLeR

This post is dedicated to the blackmailers who have been intimidating common man for ages. blackmailer is a term we use for the person who pushes us against our will to fulfill his demand. We all are surrounded by them. Don't laugh because i will start making sense to you after some more time. There are two blackmailers- one who blackmails us to reveal some hidden information about us, which we want to hide from public unless his/her demand is met.
and the next one are - some of our near and dear ones, emotionally blackmailing us to fulfill their demands or else they will keep on throwing tantrums without giving you a chance to speak.
We of course don't want to encounter such blackmailing incidences, still if one has a choice, they will prefer the latter one.
Here goes telephonic conversation between two friends. (point to be noted, often it has been seen that the blackmailer calls the victim.)

BLACKMAILER- Hello, Shesha?
victim - yeah, hi. long time. how are you doing?
Blackmailer- glad atleast u recognized my voice. (hitting started)
victim- of course how can i forget you? tell me hows everything at home.
blackmailer- All is well at home, u never miss me, right? (second hit)
victim- of course i do, why are u saying so. we had a talk a week before i guess. i have been busy with my routine. tell me watsup? (trying to wash away the unpleasantness or may be the motive)
blackmailer- Anyway leave it.
victim- (phew!!)
blackmailer- i was thinking if we can meet up on Wednesday for some movie?
victim- oh, make it on Saturday, i will be having some work on Wednesday. wtsay?
blackmailer- no not on weekends, everyone is at home on weekends, i have to look after them.
victim- doesn't matter, sometime else?
blackmailer- can't you postpone your work for me? we are friends since school time.
victim- the thing is it's really important for me to get it done by Wednesday. (huh??)
blackmailer- you have changed i guess. I had so many friends. but now I'm so alone and bored to death, though we will have fun and relive the old times. but its OKAY.. (wow she is too good at this)
victim- Don't get me wrong, i really wish to but can't.
blackmailer- no its okay, everybody changes with time. i shouldn't expect too much .
VICTIM- OhkkkAY.. I will make myself free..
blackmailer- wow you are a darling, i am buying the tickets then. bye

AFTER THOUGHTS- " crap what have i done? how am i going to manage. Last time when i made a plan she had no time and now she has time so i should also have time.. " :(

you might also be having such instances hitting you now and then, may be in a different form! you might be facing this in other form may be in relationships like mother-child, girlfriend-boy friend, brother-sister, husband wife and so on.

P.S. Emotional blackmailers are normally the girls but don't forget many guys are also doing good in this stream. :D

P.P.S. I really adore my friends, they are most of the times all cool. But sometimes being a victim sucks and i try to be on the other side, but fail badly. in a hope to stand successfully someday on the other side of the talk, i put this post to the end.
Happy Blogging!! :D

Thats how i trapped myself :-|

I always try to get witty but sometimes due to my idle chats, i fall in trap.. First lemme say sorry to my younger sister for not being here with her on her b'day, as I was out of station busy in attening marriage of my father’s cousin aunt's son.. :P In short my cousin chacha's marriage in lucknow. Happy belated b’day O’chana. So in our community the relations are remembered as if there can be a surprise test any moment. Every single person has a family tree in his mind.. If not, you will be compelled to make one, if you are a part of this community..

Want to thank shatabdi, for keeping me busy in scoffing and snoozing during the journey despite of lack of sleep, I was able to stay active the whole day.. (an early morning train). As I am a Big Chatterbox, glad I had bua and papa who shared the ear-pain throughout the trip. :>) Being there for the first time or rather being an alien in the family, i was interrogating my father and one of my dear dear chacha about who is who, to get comfortable with the people around. Thanx to their patience. :P
Marriage went well, nice food which is the only attraction when u know only a handful of people. Later arrival of the known faces was a BIG rescue.. Thanks to my cousins who are living their.. :)
Next day something happened that made me realise i should start chirping less.. Early morning we went to meet papa's cousin nephew (who is elder to him). So after reaching there, i couldn’t recall the faces although somewhere it was a big relief to restore his wife's i.e. bhabhi's face in my memory. And we were nearly eight year oldies when they left Delhi for Lucknow. So here came her son, my nephew, but i had no choice other than to call him bhaiya (he must be elder to me by 5 years), who has recenlty got married.

Bhabhi (to his son)- "pehechana ise? Shesha!!"
"BUA" i added suddenly in the mid of conversation (out of habbit of teasing and jumping in between).
Everybody laughed. So my teaser was successful. i HAD NO IDEA there can be a twist in the tale. Things can turn back on me... i was sitting happily when his newly wed wife arrived, who must be of my age or elder to me. Can’t say.
Bhabhi started introducing everybody: ye tumhaare dadiyaa sasur(my father)
she bowed and touched his feet. :)
Ye tumhaari dadiyaa saas(my bua)
she bowed and touched her feet. :)
Ye tumhaari bua saas .. and i realised late, this was my introduction. for a sec i was shocked was it meee :O. So soooon.. GOOOOSH!!! It was really for me.. and she bowed to touch my feet, when i just a few seconds before jumped up from my seat saaying Nooooooo.. and everyone around were laughing BIG TIME :( So, i was being ragged.

And there came my Bhabhi's elder daughter who has 2 kids. She came in holding her younger daugher (must be of 5 months)
I smiled at her and said hie...
Bhabhi : "chaalo milo apni naaani se" (again that was me) Second round of applause at my cost.. So now in just 15 minutes i was a mother in law and a grandmother of two children. Wish i had kept my mouth shut. It was funny yet made me blush big time before everybody. Glad i met them and everybody after a looong time.. ;)
