Zealots- War over Peace, Hatred over Love!

I have known zealots. Not many, but good enough for the experience! Surviving with their extreme nature seems next to impossible. Some have desperate zest for religion while others have for politics! Everybody is fighting ardently for their own agendas! Going against their thoughts makes a person earn negative points. Opponents deserve no mercy; they are worthy of wrath- the wrath of fanatic zealots!
Talk in favor of or against any political party, talk about existence or non-existence of God, talk about peace or war, the hidden ones come out of their den to fight for their cause, to run after your lives and prove you wrong!

I belong to a family where we five, with sometimes different views, have a pleasant discussion on random things. That delivers us with balanced mindset. We have learned to respect others' views. While I have never pushed anyone to contest for what I believe in and have respected alternate choices, I feel shockingly amused on the comments or the reactions from these extremists for the people having a different choice.

Some of the immature discussions and accusations in the past provided me with a perspective. I realized why humans fight with each other on religions, castes and communities. The same goes for political fanatics. One person, who thinks he is right, wants everybody else to follow his footsteps or ideologies. Nobody wants to be entitled as conservative but some fail to demonstrate a liberal attitude. They do not respect a different view because they fail to appreciate or understand the things from others' perspective. Or probably they live with a belief that they belong to the higher class of mortals. Weaklings surrender before such fanatics, while robust opponents collide. When zealots push others to fight for their survival, peace ends and war begins. It is not the story of religions alone but behind regional disturbances, political riots etc. It is about ideologies- being a human we are entitled to our own views. Some views are neither right nor wrong, they are just views. No religion promotes these fights. No religion teaches to degrade other religion. These fights are related to personal egos, a hunger for supremacy, a non-liberal attitude and a suspicion on others wisdom!

Delhi Elections, BJP or AAP- Who is Next?

Elections are over. Results are out and with that, a hazy picture of political orientation of Delhites has become clear. While a good majority of people in Delhi opted for BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party- winning 32 seats), AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) is leading on second position winning 28 seats and Congress with only 8 seats came third in the race; others won only 2 seats in the Vidhan Sabha elections held on 4th December.
Arvind Kejriwal emerged as a Giant Killer by defeating Sheila Dikshit (former chief minister of Delhi) from her constituency. Indian politics took an interesting turn in last two years. Constant news of corruptions by the ruling party followed by Anna Hazare’s Anshan (fast) – a non-violent movement of 'India Against Corruption' gathered people of Delhi out on streets. People from all over India supported the movement through social networking websites. Congress turning deaf to people's voices made the wrath much stronger. Cruel jokes by Congress leaders about mehengai i.e. a decent survival possible on Rs. 32/- a day for a person;  Shifting of blame by Sheila Dikshit during Nirbhaya’s Rape case on Delhi Police coming under union government and not under her elevated the rage in masses. The faulty policies of central government, 2G spectrum scam, Coal blocks allocation scam, and many other things ruined impression of the party further. These twists and turns took interests of many people who chose to keep their interests away from politics until now!
A vast majority of IT professionals, engineers, businessmen worked tirelessly as volunteers of AAP. Majority of people belonging to lower class and middle class marred by corruption and inflation started looking towards Kejriwal as their Messiah. Talk to your housemails, Autowalahs, Rikshawmen, and many others, everyone was canvassing for AAP. Even after all this surprisingly congress managed to win 8 seats in the state. This was for the first time in Indian politics that another party (AAP) emerged strongly before Congress and BJP.
Delhi has registered its highest voter turnout of 65.86%. NOTA (None of the above) option fetched 400 something votes. Not sure why people opted for that when they had three different parties (including the new one with a new agenda and ideology) to opt from. Probably they followed to the polling booths for the sake of it.

Since out of 70 seats a party needs 36 (half of 70 + one) to come in majority and select their candidate as next chief minister; none has reached the count. Hence AAP or BJP (the two leading parties) will have to seek for support from other parties. Both of them not ready for the same (as per their statements). Kejriwal if chooses to seek support from congress, it will breach trust of many voters favoring him. This is his only chance to stand firm as a unique identity and rise high. BJP will not take support from its old rival either. If situation remains like this, which will, elections will be re-held after 6 months and president will be the governing body till then. Things have become interesting as a game of chess.
Right now some RJ is playing a song on FM dedicating it to Dr. Harsh Vardhan, BJP's CM Candidate- ‘Ye dooriyaan’, from the movie ‘Love Ajkal’…
P.S. Any guesses on who is going to take C.M. post in Delhi?

Why to follow anti-corruption movement

1. If you are tired of swinging back and forth from government offices, taking time out from your 9-5 job, for getting your basic work done.
2. If you crib that nothing can be done and system will never change! ( a system will change someday, unless you are a pessimist)
3. The person initiating the cause can be trusted more than any political party in elections for which u vote every 5 years! His past records are clean. No corruption, an army man who fought for India, for his country and is still fighting for it!
4. If you are not scared of fighting. We never give exams to fail, fail or pass comes later! (People thinking :" How can we say adding another layer to the already existing system could be a solution? People in Jana Lokpal could be corrupt." We can’t stop working for our daily bread with the fear we won’t get it)
5. If you can’t stand in elections, can’t give speeches and can’t make a difference, just be with the masses and play the gamble!
6. If you think cause is right but method is wrong : Stand up for the cause!
The ones who think fasting onto death is an offense, there are more severe offenses than that. There is a vast difference between making you suffer for the sake of others’ lives and creating situations for others to die. And hence there is still a big difference between Anna and government respectively. One question raised by a friend on facebook (Megha) “Eat to death or fast to death, what would you prefer?
7. If you are not amongst those who who have a smooth life and have money, corruption/no corruption doesn’t make any difference. Why to bother! I don’t care attitude!
8. If you are tired of watching scam stories on news channels, uncovering one after other biggest corruption scams today, seeing the tax you have paid for benefit of your nation and society being stashed away in foreign banks.
9. If you compare India with US and UK and constantly complain about life here.
10. If you care about the common man more than the party you support!

P.S. Dont think if you are not fasting or not physically present there you fail to support, a mere status update, blog update shows the support! A recent example of Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya case when so many people registered their views on facebook, blog, twitter were acknowledged in news and newspaper. Time has changed and so the electronic media is also used for sampling, interviewing and researches! Think well!

Post your Views!

Here, I am sharing some of the popular one liners i have heard or created on Facebook, after looking at the government's handicap!

1. Why Sonia aunty went to US for her treatment, when her government has raised special doctors under reserved quota scheme and are dying to pay back the great favor on them...

2.
Before entering in a library or attending a conference please keep your phone on 'manmohan singh mode'...

3. I miss those days when I used to type Anna and google suggested Kornikova :(

4. MSD - 'We are not winning another Test till the JLP bil is passed - as a tribute to Anna Hazare'.' Now we know! (Also tweeted by Anupam Kher)
5. Ghar mai 4 din aurat na ho to ghar ka haal kaisa ho jata hai, yeh to koi congress se pooche ... (the latest one)

and there are infinite.....
Q: Is our present PM, the weakest link till now and government one of the most unpopular one?

P.S. If you have any views on the same, feel free to Post here!

Are we living safe in our homes?

We have hopes from our future and we have dreams to fulfil. We all think we'll be able to fulfil them at sometime of our lives. But there is so much going on around us that it seems doomsday is near.
Major and ever existing problems affecting us are politics and corruption. Though politics don't interest me but no one can close eyes watching the troubles ahead, expecting an escape from them. So specially in our country politicians are smart, efficient and forsighted when it comes to their seats in election. They prefer to serve themselves more than serving the nation. Eating out crores of money and then declaring lack of funds for development, imposing the cost on general public is the kind of work most of them do!! And so we are once again spectators.. We go and vote to the political party we think is lesser dacoit!! Others vote, feeling ruling party must be changed every five years as prolonged rule means elongated power and increased corruption . No genuine person wants to step up in politics as it makes good ones bad.. Just like if ur sitting among blind people for long, you slowly starts ignoring the details as others. Details loose their value..
And when we talk about corruption, it seems to be an ever-lasting phenomena in our country that is becoming larger with time. Be it hospitals, politics, government offices, media or anywhere else, corruption is more or less there!!

And now never ending war of religion has been joined by war of region.
This Maharashtra issue is just too much to gulp!! Maharashtra for Marathis. Bravo!! So we are dividing this country into other small countries.. And if all the states comes up with the similar theory, we'd be no more a nation and we'll have to use our passports to go to other states. Why Governemnt is not using its energy to take out fugitives who are living here without any valid ID from this country. Why government is not using its energy in creating better job opportunities. Our proficient doctors and engineers are not getting jobs here and are moving abroad. And the kind of doctors we are going to get for ourselves will be the outcome of the raised quota for S.C. and S.T.s. This all looks as if this Government is following the old british Policy of 'divide n rule' by reminding ourselves of our castes, religions and regions to rule the nation and to retain its respective post. It is hardly concerned for the masses just for the sake of winning the seat in next election!!
Lastest being the nuclear deal issue. About which like majority of the people i too am not happy. The major issue of concern is zero transperancy of its contents. Nothing is clear as yet about it. Anyway cant blame it as we dont know what the other parties wud have done if they were in the same place.
And again another major issue of concern, decision regarding removing ban from SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) which has been engaged into terrorist activities in the nation as per reports.
So here we are rusting from outside and inside. Increased corruption, increased terrorism, Nuclear deal issue, religional war, regional war, our lost values, and changed preferences, increased murders, high rise in divorce rate, easy flow of money to younger lot, increase in people indulged in smoking and boozing, shorter temper of youngsters, and muders out of sudden fits of rage or to buy luxury and status between friends..
This was brief introduction of India today and a warning of what it can become tomorrow. So we are becoming worst of worsts. Are we really sure we are living safe in our homes with atleast fine, even if not great, future ahead??
