On the day of our marriage...

When I was coming to thee
You were holding a mirror in your hands
And looking at me
We thought we were alike
Blinded by the mirror and it's pretentious side
There was no exchange of thoughts
Hence no progress was ever sought
Whenever we truely met
Planted strange fears
in each other's heads

On the day of our marriage
I came to give us one last chance
yet the memories from past
began their haunted dance
the realization was stark,
it had never been this strong
choking emptiness now reduced to tears,
residing in depths for long

you came to me with that thing
to put on my finger
t'was the golden ring

I heard a triumphant cry
of a soul that only sighed
till now, wept in silence
released from cluthces of lie

And so I withdrew my hand
since we were not meant
to be, I knew
Together in our blues

so when you came forward for a kiss
I planted one on your cheek
for it was a goodbye that I wished...

Our Fights-II

Read the First Part Here: Our Fights-I

He must be hungry. I am worried. Today I didn’t serve him any breakfast. And its 1 P.M. now! Saturday feels wasted. The weekend for which we both look forward to all the week, is being wasted on this stupid fight.

I went to the kitchen- Prepared food- Served it in a plate. Now what? Do I have to go and give it to him? Should I say anything? I was confused and reluctant, but on the other hand feeling bad. I know he has not taken anything except a glass of milk since morning. I went to him and rudely put the plate before him and when I was about to leave, he grabbed my hand and said “Are we not Talking?”

Is this the only thing, he could think of after such a long silence. He knows I love talking to him, especially on weekends when we have so much to share. How fond I am of him and of our conversation. But anyway, I chose to stay silent. As if he doesn’t know that We Are Not Talking!!!

“How do you want me to apologise?”

Ya I have done my masters in getting apologies! Or is it him trying to hear “Sorry” from me first? Still I chose to not to speak.

“Will a simple sorry work? Or do I have to do anything else!”

Yay! on the top of the world! He is going to say sorry. I wish I had some crocodile tears for this moment. But never mind! I managed to hold back my smile!

“Sorry, I was just playing for fun all this week. You said we can never fight. So I thought let me try”

(He is so stupid. THIS IS So STUPID! I don’t know why I want to adore him. But anyway this is really stupid.)

I was standing expressionless. He tried further, “I will do whatever you want me to do, to make it up to you. It was all a joke, seriously!”

I was thoughtful, still looking at him. For some moments silence accompanied us both and then...

“Tomorrow you will take me for a long ride. And after that we’ll spend our afternoon at momma’s home. And then I want you to organize a romantic candle light dinner on our terrace with soft music in the background. You will prepare it.” I replied. “And I want to eat chocolate walnut cake baked by you.”

He was shocked and perplexed, staring at me!

(I’ve always wanted the man I love to surprise me in this fashion desperately. Finally the day has come. Although it wouldn’t be a surprise now, but I will never get a better chance to make it come true.)

I was smiling and after a few moments he was too. I hugged him tight. I missed him whole week. This fight has brought us closer to each other. Now I was enjoying the week that had passed fighting, cribbing and getting confused. Tomorrow is my day or rather our day!!!

Our Fights- I

Its been two hours and we are not talking to each other. To top it all, it’s a weekend. Hence two hours is a very long time. When only two of us are here, silence kills. And we are sitting opposite to each other, back to back. He doesn’t want to go in any other room and I want to sit only in this room. Ah EGO! Thankfully I have the television remote, otherwise his cricket matches would have made me more impatient. He is doing some work on internet or probably chatting with his pals (grhhh I am so jealous). I want both television remote and the Internet. I want him to realize that we are not talking! But for that he should be idle. He doesn’t know his phone is on silent mode and hidden in one of my drawers. **GRIN**

I am getting impatient anyway, wondering who will break the silence. Half an hour back I went to kitchen and made some juice and cheese rolls for myself, just to make him realize what he is missing. Mom always used to say the route to a man’s heart is through his stomach. But he is sitting all calm and expressionless- not bothered. Sigh!!

Why are we not talking? It’s a long story. Actually I want him to apologize. Every girl wants, I know. But my reason is genuine (you will say, all girls feel so). Actually it’s been a week that he has been pinpointing my mistakes on everything I do. And I desperately try to make it special for him, but all in vain. It started from this Monday, when I served him his breakfast and juice. And he said I have lost my culinary skills and have poured in such a small amount of salt. I gave him extra salt, on which he said “Naah, I will pour in extra salt anyway, but this is not the permanent solution. You should accept your mistakes and learn from them.” It has never happened before. I didn’t mind it. When he asked me for his socks, I said straightaway “I think you are too dependent on me. I am having a headache, search them on your own.” (Revenge taken, it’s even.)

And so on and so forth, he is actively trying to fight with me... ACTIVELY! Yepp. Why did I leave the lights on? Why I left my towel on bed after the bath? Why didn’t I call him in his office to know his well being? I should learn ironing means no wrinkle on his handkerchief. Grhhhh! Damn, how come this week has he become so critical all of a sudden?

And today he crossed all limits. Yes 'ALL LIMITS'. I told him, this morning that I saw a beautiful red and black coloured butterfly, and it sat on my notepad, when I was engrossed in writing something in our garden. And he said: “Hmphh. You are so innocent. It was a ladybird”

“Hahaha, don’t make fun of me love. I saw it. It was a butterfly. And you know it was so amazing that….”

“Baby, there is a difference between a ladybird and a butterfly”, he interrupted. “What you saw black and red was a ladybird and not a butterfly”.

I was losing my temper, trying to control it. I said, “There can be a red and black butterfly as well.”

“Yaa, I guess, but the little insect you saw was a ladybird.”

“Did u see it? I saw it. I know what I saw this morning better than you do. Do you think I am a fool that I can’t distinguish between a lady bird and a butterfly? A lady bird is so tiny. It wasn’t a ladybird.”

“Baby, you are not at all foolish. You are my darling sweet little pumpkin. You are just too innocent!”

(So he indirectly called me foolish! I hate him, I hate him. All that he has been doing to me for a week now.)

I retaliated, “Listen don’t act smart, I don’t know why you are becoming anti-ME. Its been whole week and you are pinpointing my mistakes on everything I do. I am trying to be patient and calm but ……. “And I said everything that I could, remembering all sorts of taunts and tantrums that I learned till now, spurted out all kinds of dialogues I heard in movies.

“Oh, so you are upset about that! I am so sorry baby, if u felt bad. May be that’s why you wanted to prove a ladybird, a butterfly. It’s okay. I surrender. It was a butterfly!”

And no one could guess what happens next. A lady bird sat on the glass window, and he got its glimpse. “Look baby, your Butterfly is peeping from there. How beautiful!”

I HATE HIM! And Finally WE are not talking!!! Worst Part is its affecting me! He is not even bothered.

He SHOULD APPOLOGISE NOW!

Why to follow anti-corruption movement

1. If you are tired of swinging back and forth from government offices, taking time out from your 9-5 job, for getting your basic work done.
2. If you crib that nothing can be done and system will never change! ( a system will change someday, unless you are a pessimist)
3. The person initiating the cause can be trusted more than any political party in elections for which u vote every 5 years! His past records are clean. No corruption, an army man who fought for India, for his country and is still fighting for it!
4. If you are not scared of fighting. We never give exams to fail, fail or pass comes later! (People thinking :" How can we say adding another layer to the already existing system could be a solution? People in Jana Lokpal could be corrupt." We can’t stop working for our daily bread with the fear we won’t get it)
5. If you can’t stand in elections, can’t give speeches and can’t make a difference, just be with the masses and play the gamble!
6. If you think cause is right but method is wrong : Stand up for the cause!
The ones who think fasting onto death is an offense, there are more severe offenses than that. There is a vast difference between making you suffer for the sake of others’ lives and creating situations for others to die. And hence there is still a big difference between Anna and government respectively. One question raised by a friend on facebook (Megha) “Eat to death or fast to death, what would you prefer?
7. If you are not amongst those who who have a smooth life and have money, corruption/no corruption doesn’t make any difference. Why to bother! I don’t care attitude!
8. If you are tired of watching scam stories on news channels, uncovering one after other biggest corruption scams today, seeing the tax you have paid for benefit of your nation and society being stashed away in foreign banks.
9. If you compare India with US and UK and constantly complain about life here.
10. If you care about the common man more than the party you support!

P.S. Dont think if you are not fasting or not physically present there you fail to support, a mere status update, blog update shows the support! A recent example of Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya case when so many people registered their views on facebook, blog, twitter were acknowledged in news and newspaper. Time has changed and so the electronic media is also used for sampling, interviewing and researches! Think well!

Post your Views!

Here, I am sharing some of the popular one liners i have heard or created on Facebook, after looking at the government's handicap!

1. Why Sonia aunty went to US for her treatment, when her government has raised special doctors under reserved quota scheme and are dying to pay back the great favor on them...

2.
Before entering in a library or attending a conference please keep your phone on 'manmohan singh mode'...

3. I miss those days when I used to type Anna and google suggested Kornikova :(

4. MSD - 'We are not winning another Test till the JLP bil is passed - as a tribute to Anna Hazare'.' Now we know! (Also tweeted by Anupam Kher)
5. Ghar mai 4 din aurat na ho to ghar ka haal kaisa ho jata hai, yeh to koi congress se pooche ... (the latest one)

and there are infinite.....
Q: Is our present PM, the weakest link till now and government one of the most unpopular one?

P.S. If you have any views on the same, feel free to Post here!
